Deploying local-built web-responsive help outside of local system

Post by jcadel »

I am a new user to Oxygen but have used a different XML Authoring tool in the past. I was able to customize a transform to create webhelp responsive output. However, I am doing everything on my local hard drive. I need to show this output to stakeholders in my company but do not want to have it only available for them to see through my local machine. Is there a way to package it and deploy it?

Hello,

In order to make your generated WebHelp available for others you need a web server and you need to deploy the WebHelp to the web server. To deploy the WebHelp to the web server, you just need to copy the entire output directory to the web server and than you will be able to access it in your favorite browser by navigating to the correct URL on your web server.
