Webhelp Responsive topichead navigation
Post by steinbacherGE »
For topicheads within a bookmap, we have noticed that clicking on the topichead on the side TOC will take you to the first child topic, but the same link in the main navigation menu does not.
Is there a way to enable topichead links in the main menu that will take you to the first child topic, same as the side navigation TOC?
We are using a customized version of Oxygen Webhelp 19.1, build number 2017121300
Thanks!

Re: Webhelp Responsive topichead navigation
Hello,
There was an issue related to some discrepancy between clicking on a topichead in the side toc and clicking the same topichead in the navigation menu.
However, this discrepancy affected the older version and a new implementation was added in a newer release (at version 20.1).
Therefore, this should no longer occur in v20.1 or newer.
Regards,
Costin

Re: Webhelp Responsive topichead navigation
Hi,
Unfortunately, currently it is not possible to modify this behavior as this is how it works by design. I have logged your feedback as an improvement request to our issue tracking tool to have an option that might deactivate link created by the topichead.
This will be analyzed by our development team.
Regards,
Ionela
