Suppressing Certain Validation Errors

Suppressing Certain Validation Errors
Hi,
When validating our bookmaps, we often get DITA_SPECS errors for content that appears in the <othermeta> element within the bookmeta. The error states that the text written within the @content attribute "is not in the allowed set of values". This is intentional. Most of the values entered in our book and topic metadata are controlled through a subjectScheme, however, some simply require plain text entries that we do not control. Can we suppress these types of validation errors?

Re: Suppressing Certain Validation Errors
Hi,
There is a possibility to add an Oxygen plugin which filters out errors before they are presented but as the errors are reported by Oxygen because a Subject Scheme map has imposed a fixed set of values for that specific attribute, I think that it's best to talk to the maintainers of the Subject Scheme map about this so that they can change that specific part in the subject scheme map.
Otherwise Oxygen will keep showing the error.

Radu
