Tagging BKM for non interactive UI labels

Post by Vidhya321 »

How do I tag non interactive UI labels that show on a SW application.
For Example: in the image attached, what should we tag the following?
General
Alignment
Preview
Mirror indents
Left
Right etc

Should they even be tagged?

Hi,

What XML vocabulary are you using for editing? Is it DITA, DocBook or something else?

Hi Vidhya,

The set of user interface elements in the DITA 1.3 specification is here:

https://www.oxygenxml.com/dita/1.3/spec ... /ui-d.html

Personally I think I would still use uicontrol but others may disagree.
You may also want to register on the DITA Users List (Yahoo Group) and ask there, it's a large community of tech writers so they may have a better idea about this.
