Task Labels Missing from PDF Based on CSS

Post by carlisaac »

I'm using a custom version of the DITA Map PDF - based on HTML5 & CSS transformation scenario. I want the section headings in my tasks ("Prerequisites", "Before you begin", and so on) to appear in the PDF output. I've set the parameter args.gen.task.lbl to YES but the labels don't appear.

I tested copying the transformation scenario and applying only the args.gen.task.lbl parameter (so without including my customization). Again, the labels are missing from the output. To make sure the problem isn't with topics generated from our CMS, I created a map and one test topic directly in Oxygen and ran the transform again. Same problem.

I'm using Oxygen 20.1 with the built in DITA OT.

How can I get the labels to appear in my output?

Thanks very much!

Hi Carl,

There is indeed a known issue regarding the generation of tasks labels that we have it already logged in our internal tracking system.
We are currently investigating why the parameter is ignored during transformation, so we are looking for a possible fix in a future version released.

We've added your vote for it, so we will notify this thread when this functionality will get implemented.

Hi Costin,

Thanks for the confirmation. Is there a list of known issues somewhere that I can refer to? I'm also having issues styling a table body (font color appears correct in the PDF but the font family doesn't). Perhaps it's me, perhaps it's a bug :)

All the best,

Hi Carl,

We do not have a public issue tracking system, it is only internal.
However, were are already considering a quick workaround for the issue, in case you are using the HTML5 and CSS based scenario.
I will get back to you tomorrow with the fix.

Meanwhile, could you please also provide more details on the issue you encounter with the font family issue in the table?
Sending us a small sample document together with a CSS snippet that you use to reproduce the issue could help with investigating the issue.
You could send the sample on our support email: support@oxygenxml.com

Hi Costin,

are there any news regarding the issues with the task labels or maybe the workaround you mentioned before? :)

Hi MariePe,

The parameter that manages task label generation is supported in the latest version available.
If you download the latest installation kit from our website, it should work correctly.
