Trying to get WebHelp Responsive Tree to behave like Classic

Post by mdslup »

I like the index_frames version of Webhelp Classic. I'm trying to switch over to Webhelp Responsive Tree but having trouble getting the desired functionality.

Note how, in Webhelp classic, the index_frames.html page immediately dispalys the first topic. I used this to create a "Welcome" topic with a picture of the product. Additionally, the lefthand navigation menu is already present.

When using Responsive Tree, the main page looks like this:

Ideally, I'd like to bypass this page, and just jump straight to the first topic file, with the navigation menu on the left, like this:

Is this possible? Is it a transformation scenario I can set?

Hi mdslup,

As Responsive and Classic are two different webhelp outputs, I'm afraid there is no easy way we could think of, in order to set a topic as main page in the WebHelp Responsive output.
Even so, we have an improvement request logged for this in our internal tracking system to be analyzed by the development team, so I've just added your vote for such a feature.

We will notify this thread when this will get implemented.
