Add .jar library to DITA framework
Post by Frank Ralf »
Hi,
We deploy an oXygen DITA framework that uses a custom DITA-OT plugin that comes with a .jar library. I know how to add libraries to transformation scenarios but that would require all users to update or re-create their existing transformation scenarios.
Is there another way to add and deploy a .jar file via an oXygen framework? I've already tried adding the .jar to the Classpath tab of the framework but that doesn't see to work. Any pointers welcome.
Best regards,
Frank

Re: Add .jar library to DITA framework
Hi Frank,
So you need that JAR library when publishing from Oxygen, right?
What version of Oxygen are you using? As far as I know in recent Oxygen versions (probably version 19 and newer), if the plugin's descriptor file "plugin.xml" refers to that JAR library, Oxygen should also use it when publishing if in the Preferences->"DITA" page that particular used DITA OT is also set as the default DITA OT engine.
Regards,
Radu

Hi Radu,
Many thanks for this pointer. Our customer still uses oXygen 17.1 but I will try your suggestion and report back.
Best regards,
Frank
