Add "Compiling to Sass Stylesheets" (and editor mode)?

For oXygen XML Editor 18.

Per my experiments and the oXygen XML 18 online help topic Compiling LESS Stylesheets to CSS, oXygen XML 18 supports LESS compilation. Yay!

Q: Is there any chance of getting Sass added to the list of supported editor modes AND CSS preprocessors?

Q: Might a version 18 user be able to more or less easily copy oXygen 18's existing Less support files and modify those copies to support a Sass editing mode?

This is NOT a big deal -- not at all -- but merely a "nice to have"...

Hi Riley,

We do have plans to support SASS editing and compiling. Possibly we'll have enough time in Oxygen 19 (next year) to approach this. I added your contact details and suggestions on the already opened issue and we'll try to update the forum thread when this gets implemented.

I would love to have SASS support within oXygen XML Editor. I don't like hopping out of oXygen to work on our SASS source code.

Hi Cary,

We do have an internal issue registered for this so I increased its priority. Hopefully we'll be able to do something about this in Oxygen 20 next year. I will update this forum thread when we do.

I just checked our system and this improvement is still open.
Most probably, this won't be implemented in the upcoming v21 release.
However, we will update this thread when /if this will get implemented.

I'll note that as of today, oXygen XML version 20.1 help still returns results for Compiling LESS Stylesheets to CSS but nothing for Sass...
