Problems with definition lists and tables in PDF output
I'm on oXygen 18.1. The transformation scenario dialog says the type is PDF2 and the processor is Apache FOP.
Definition lists and tables are so indented in the PDF output as to be impossible to follow.
Is there anything to be done?
And no, I'm not aware of any custom plug-ins.
Thank you,
Victoria

Re: Problems with definition lists and tables in PDF output
Hi Victoria,
In the Oxygen Preferences->"DITA" page you can choose between using DITA OT 1.8 and 2.x. What DITA OT do you have configured on your side?
From what I tested with a small DITA topic, tables look the same published with both 1.8 and 2.x. Definition lists look like tables when published with DITA OT 2.x and they are more compact when published with DITA OT 1.8. Do you obtain the same result on your side?
Regards,
Radu

Re: Problems with definition lists and tables in PDF output
Hi,
I am using the 2.x tranformation. It turns out that a predecessor had set the colwidth on those tables. The solution is to let the transformation set the colwidth. Hopefully this is good information for other users on the forum.
Thank you for the reponse,
Victoria
