Using group element

In case I want to use group element for A and for B but would like for A to modify one of the elements in the group (the minimum number for example) - how can I do it?

Unfortunately, it is not clear what exactly you need to achieve. Also, it is not very clear which XML document types you are working with (I can only guess you work with XML schema files and refer to the <group/> element).
As this is an oXygen XML product oriented forum and it is hard to understand the use case without a sample snippet and more details, I suggest you should try posting general XML questions (not specifically related to oXygen XML) to the XML section on Stack Overflow.
