Problem integrating Oxygen Author into an Eclipse 4 RCP

Hi,

when I try to integrate the Oxygen Author into my new Eclipse 4 RCP Application I get following Exception:

Since I cannot see what this code is looking for could you please share it with me or investigate on the cause of the NPE?

In our implementation of org.eclipse.ui.editors.text.TextEditor we have a method like:

    IDocumentProvider documentProvider = getDocumentProvider();

    if (editorInput != null && documentProvider != null) {

      return documentProvider.getDocument(editorInput);

    }

    return null;

	}

and it seems to return a null document, not sure why this happens. You are using a customized XML Author plugin, right? What version of our XML Author are you using? Did you also make changes to our plugin.xml?
Does the same plugin work with an older Eclipse version?
