Error on delete file in Data Source Explorer

Running Oxygen 20.1 with DSE connected to Alfresco/Componize CMS. Working with this setup for several years.

We sometimes have issues deleting files from within DSE.

Error Window Contents:
Operation
Remove t_get_order_by_order_information.dita

Could not delete folder: t_get_order_by_order_information.dita. 500 Internal Server Error for: https://servername.com:8443/alfresco/we ... ation.dita

Why are we getting this error and how do we correct so that we can *ALWAYS* delete a file when we need to?

Hi Greg,

Are you using Oxygen with the Componize integration plugin installed?
Or are you using Oxygen's Data Source Explorer view to connect to Alfresco using the WebDav protocol?
I'm not sure why the delete operation fails. If you want I can try to give you some details about how to enable additional logging in Oxygen, but as the message suggests there seems to be an internal server error so ideally you should look in the logs on the server side.

You should have an error message and stack trace in the server log file (either catalina.out or alfresco.log). If you email that to support@componize.com we should we able to find the cause of your issue.

I'm confused. If there's a Componize plugin that works from within Oxygen, I'm not aware of it. If you're asking if we're editing DITA files from within Componize using the Web-based Oxygen editor there, the answer is no. We're accessing files using Data Source Explorer using WebDAV FTP.

Hi Greg,

You mentioned in your first post that you are using Alfresco/Componize CMS.
When deleting content from the Oxygen Data Source Explorer, Oxygen issues an HTTP delete command to the server. If there is a problem with the server failing to delete a resource, this problem needs to be analyzed on the server side by looking as Frank said in the server-side logs to see what that internal server error means.
