Previous and Next Topic in HTML5

Post by ann.jensen »

Hi,
Can anyone advise where in Oxygen XML Author Configure Transformation Scenario(s) I can turn off the generation of Previous Topic and Next Topic links for the HTML5 transformation scenario.
Any advice appreciated,
Regards,
Ann

HI Ann,

The Previous and Next links are generated if the collection-type attribute is set to "sequence" on the topicref element.

You can find more details about the collection-type attribute here:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/dita/stylegui ... Types.html
https://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/dita/v ... czm_brv_vr

Thanks for that Ionela,
I am trying to publish 2 different outputs, one for WebHelp with Previous and Next links and one for HTML5 ideally without Previous and Next links.
So this isn't possible?

Hi Ann,

In this case you can remove the collection-type="sequence" attribute from your DITA source and the links won't appear in the HTML5 output.

For the DITA Map WebHelp Responsive transformation, there is a "webhelp.default.collection.type.sequence" parameter in the transformation scenario dialog that you could set to "yes". This option will add Next and Previous navigation buttons for all HTML pages in the WebHelp Responsive output.
