Re: Cannot open the specified file popup
Can I put in an enhancement request then? My workflow is to add a topicref to the current ditamap which then causes the pop-up. I'd prefer to be able to make "Create new file" as my default.
Otherwise is there a way to switch from the Close button to the Create button from the keyboard? [Tab] hasn't worked for me.

Re: Cannot open the specified file popup
Hi,
I'm guessing you're on a Mac, if it appears to you that Tab doesn't work. Try Shift+Tab (or press Tab twice) and Space bar. Note that Enter will still press the default button, not the one with the keyboard focus.
Unfortunately there are no keyboard mnemonics on Mac. On Windows/Linux you can simply press Alt+C to invoke the "Create new file" button.
Regards,
Adrian

Re: Cannot open the specified file popup
Adrian, correct that it's a Mac. None of the methods you offered worked at changing the focus on this pop-up. Is there anything else I can try to make "Create new file" work without having to resort to the mouse?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Cannot open the specified file popup
What version of Oxygen are you running (Help > About) and on what version of macOS?
I tested with v20 on macOS 10.13 and Tab worked fine for navigating focus between buttons. However, I see now that even this is optional on Mac.
Check in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts, Keyboard that the setting "Full Keyboard Access" at the bottom (with regard to Tab navigation) is set to All controls. It seems that Control+F7 switches between the two settings.
