word2dita
Hello,
I'm sorry if this question was asked before but i have been trying for several days without success.
I have a word document that i'm trying to transform to Dita, i open it in the archive browser and apply the DOCX to DITA transformation over the document.xml , the build is succesful but the dita files are not generated. All i get is an 'OUT' folder that contains xml files.
I'm using XML Author 20.0.
Thank you

Re: word2dita
Hi,
The open source plugin used by Oxygen to convert Word to DITA tries to map various Word styles to DITA content.
If in your case the transformation does not create DITA topics in the output folder, probably you need to modify this XML mapping file:
OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR\frameworks\dita\DITA-OT2.x\plugins\org.dita4publishers.word2dita\xsl\word-builtin-styles-style2tagmap.xml
There is documentation here:
http://www.dita4publishers.org/d4p-user ... rview.html
While the conversion is being performed there are various warnings given in the console view like:
which indicate that various styles need to be mapped.
You can also try to register and ask around on the Yahoo Groups DITA Users List. The convertor's creator is registered there and he might have some hints for you.
Regards,
Radu
