Running Oxygen 16 on High Sierra

I am unable to run the .app applications for Oxygen 16.

This gives me the following error

LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810

However I can start the application by running JavaApplicationStub directly from the console.

Any idea how to fix this?

Hello,

Please note that v17 and older do not officially support macOS 10.12 (Sierra). It goes without saying that they don't support macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) either. The old versions do not have the required signed package necessary to run the app without it getting quarantined.

If Oxygen fails to start on macOS Sierra (10.12) or High Sierra (10.13), you should clear the quarantine flag from its folder by running this command in a Terminal (you will be prompted to enter your password due to sudo):
For v17 and older:

sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/oxygen"

For v18 and newer:

Code: Select all

sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Oxygen XML Editor"

If you are using Oxygen XML Author, you should adjust the command line path accordingly ('oxygenAuthor' vs 'Oxygen XML Author')
