Not exactly important, but to voice the desire. The SVN client is nice, but everything I do is Git these days.

On the topic of the SVN client, it would also be Very useful to be able to commit from within the oXygen project window.

The popup menu of the Project view has an action Open in SVN Client that switches to the SVN client tool and opens the folder that is selected in the Project view as a working copy in the SVN client. We tried to avoid overloading the Project view with the functions of a working copy view of the SVN client tool.

Not much has changed, but at least now GIT support is seen as a long term plan. In 2009 it was hardly considered.

Thanks for all you do...really appreciate it. In that spirit, please forgive my strident tone below - it's an impassioned plea, and is nothing personal:

What do you mean by a "long term plan"? Months and years continue to elapse, and there's still no Git support in oXygen. You've delayed to the point where things are just plain silly. (Subversion only, in 2015? Come on...!)

When will a "plan" become an "action"? Why can't you commit to doing this, commit to a delivery date, and commit to making it available on that date?

Even bare-minimum Git support in oXygen would be helpful. How about this for starters:
* git status
* git branch
* git checkout
* git add/rm
* git commit
* git push

Honestly, you don't need to implement all of Git functionality in order to really improve oXygen. It'd be an easy win if you could add this to your backlog and Just Do It.

Please? Too much time has gone by with nothing to show for it.

Just to update this post, we rolled out the first version of the Oxygen XML add-on which adds a Git repository view:

So if anybody wants to try it, you can add issues on the GitHub project or report them here.
