Embed Excel spreadsheet in a DITA topic

How would I embed an Excel spreadsheet in a DITA topic? I'm using Excel and it gives me code to embed an iframe of the spreadsheet.

Hi,

The DITA Open Toolkits (1.8 and 2.x) bundled with Oxygen come pre-installed with a special plugin I created some time ago:

Basically (and you can look at the plugin's examples) if in the DITA content you have a <foreign> element with a certain @outputclass, you can set there an HTML fragment which will appear as it is in the published HTML-based output.
