Alias names for elements, attributes and attribute values?

Post by anttirauramo »

Hey, is it possible to use "alias" names for elements, attributes and attribute values? Our customers, esp. the non-tech-savvy ones, want to use localized names for XML structures. Localizing the whole schema, or in the case of DITA, making a specialization only for that purpose, could be avoided by mapping the names in schema to Finnish names somewhere, but I haven't yet found a way to do that. Is there such a feature in Oxygen (and Oxygen web author)?

Hi,

There is a special XML configuration file in the DITA framework.
So you should read this topic:

https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... uthor.html

The same framework can be used with both the standalone Oxygen and the webapp. If the modified configuration file does not work in the webapp, please tell us in what parts of the user interface you want it to work and we'll try to fix it on our side.
