Changing which topics get rendered as tiles
Post by ann.jensen »
Hi,
I am transforming my DITA project to WebHelp Responsive using the tiles output.
I am trying to reuse my DITA project for 2 different outputs for 2 different clients. My project has a single root map with 3 sub-maps. These sub-maps are all relevant for client1 and I want the head topic for each of these maps to display as tiles i.e. 3 tiles.
Only the first of the 3 sub-maps is relevant for client2. This sub-map has 4 sub-maps itself and I want the head topics for each of these 4 sub-maps to display as tiles for this client output.
Can this be achieved?
Thanks in advance,
Ann

Hello,
I didn't entirely understand your use case. Please give me more details. I will also need a minimal valid sample to better understand what you are trying to achieve. Does the publication for client 2 contain the submaps 2 and 3? Are the submap references included in a topichead? For example:

Code: Select all
<map>
<title>Root Map</title>
<topichead navtitle="Topic Head for Sub Map1">
<topicref href="submap1.ditamap" format="ditamap"/>
</topichead>
</map>

Hi Alin,
Sorry, my request is a bit confusing.
Instead of trying to render topics from different folder levels as tiles, I reorganised my maps and topics so that the ones I want to render as tiles are children of the root map. I then created 2 different transformation scenarios for each client with ditavals to filter in/out the required maps and topics.

Ann
