XML Web Author: selecting/accepting review items

I would like to suggest an enhancement to the XML Web Author version 18.1. Actually this feature was available in the Applet based XML Editor.

We want to select multiple review items and accept them all to get a "clean" document (XML included) so subsequent editors can only address the track changes from the prior version.

The new View Final version works nice, but we are looking for a little more functionality with the review items.

I added your vote to this feature request in our internal issue tracking tool.

However, I was curious about the roles of the people involved in your workflow. We hesitated to add an "Accept All" action in Web Author because we considered it to be more useful to technical authors that send documents to review and which we expected to use the desktop Author anyway. This way we managed to keep the toolbar shorter, but we'll find solutions for this as well.

In our workflow we have copy editors that need to see a "clean" document version to edit efficiently.

The new feature to view the document's final version satisfies this request. Also, the new feature to filter reviews by type:change helps and I think the next version (according to what I see in the online demo) where you can filter on "type:insert/delete" will be very helpful as well

I updated the feature request with your additional details.

Regarding the type:insert/delete, it is actually an older version that we decided not to release since we considered that this type of filtering is not very useful. We'll add this filters back as well as they cannot do any harm. I am however curious what your use-case would be.

I wanted to let you know that Web Author version 19.0 is released and it now supports "type:change", "type:insert" and "type:delete" in the review panel filter.
