getting the editor to see xml files in eclipse

Hi,

Just messing with SVG, and realised that a valid xml file with a different extension doesn't get the oxygen editor in Eclipse.

Am I missing something (yes, i rtfm)?

If not, then non-xml file extensions like svg and smil don't seem to take. Is there a way to do it?

If not, this is a feature request!

Hi,

Have a look at Window/Preferences - Workbench/File Associations. There you should be able to define new extensions and configure what editors should be available for each extension.
