Migrating stylesheet based on dita-ot 1.4.2 to the latest version
hi all,
currently we are using publishing stylesheet based on dita-ot 1.4.2. Mainly we are using PDF and Webhelp stylesheets. We have updated these stylesheets to match our needs.
We would like to update the stysheet to the latest version (dita-ot 2.x). we have OxygenXML 18. will appreciate if someone can let me know:
- advantage of dita-ot 2.x
- if there is a link with info on how to migrate
- certain features that will not work in new version
with best regards,
rnv

Re: Migrating stylesheet based on dita-ot 1.4.2 to the latest version
Hi,
Please see some answers below:
http://blog.oxygenxml.com/2015/08/dita- ... on-of.html
http://blog.oxygenxml.com/2015/09/dita- ... -next.html
It's hard to talk of differences, there are 3-4 years of bug fixes and improvements between DITA OT 1.4 and 2.x.
Also the Oxygen WebHelp classic output has evolved quite a lot, also we added a new WebHelp responsive output in the last version. Our user's manual is published using WebHelp responsive for example:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/18.0/ug-author/
http://www.dita-ot.org/2.2/dev_ref/migration.html
but there is no clear migration path, if you created your PDF customizations as plugins or as customization folders you will need to re-check how those templates that you overwrote changed over time.
Regards,
Radu

									Please see some answers below:
DITA OT 2.x has initial support for some new DITA 1.3 features like key scopes or branch filtering:- advantage of dita-ot 2.x

There is some information in the DITA OT documentation:- if there is a link with info on how to migrate

More recent DITA OT versions should have a larger coverage of the DITA standard in general. Usually when migrating the problem is migrating the output customizations and that's a manual process.- certain features that will not work in new version
