Text running over into footer
Hi,
Sometimes when I transform DocBook to PDF, the text runs over into the footer area on the page. I'm using Oxygen 17.1 with XSLT and Saxon.
The problem seems to happen when there is a list within a list. We have a long, ten pages, <variablelist>. In some of the <varlistentry> we have an <orderedlist> or an <itemizedlist>. That's when the problem happens.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Marc

Re: Text running over into footer
Hi Marc,
I'm not 100% sure as I cannot reproduce this on my side but this looks like a bug in the PDF processor.
Oxygen 17.1 uses by default the Apache FOP 1.1 processor to produce the PDF.
As alternatives:
1) Use Apache FOP 2.1 to produce the PDF. Oxygen 18.0 comes bundled by default with it but you can also configure it for use in Oxygen 17.1 as an external Apache FOP processor in the FO Processors preferences:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... ssors.html
2) Use a commercial FO processor like RenderX XEP or Antenna House to obtain the PDF. The same preferences page indicated above allows you to add XEP and Antenna House processors which can then be used by editing the transformation scenario and choosing one of them in the FO Processors tab.
Regards,
Radu

Re: Text running over into footer
Hi Marc,
Thanks for the update, so this probably means that indeed it was an Apache FOP 1.1 bug which was fixed in FOP 2.1.
