Importing/Exporting Profiling Condition Sets
Post by WindwardLeaf »
Is there a way to export Profiling Condition Sets in order for others, using separate computers, to simply import the sets I have made so that they don't have to manually create them themselves?

Re: Importing/Exporting Profiling Condition Sets
Hi,
There are a couple of ways to do this:
1) A profiling condition set can be created directly over a DITAVAL filter file.
So you could create all the DITAVAL filter files and share them with your project.
In the Oxygen Preferences->"Editor / Edit modes / Author / Profiling/Conditional Text" there is a button called "Import from DITAVAL..." which can re-create the condition sets based on the existing DITAVAL files.
2) The Oxygen Preferences->"Editor / Edit modes / Author / Profiling/Conditional Text" page has a radio-button at the bottom which can be used to save it to "Project" level options. This means that it will be saved in the "projectName.xpr" project file currently opened in the Oxygen Project view.
Once you do this you can either ask others to use the same XPR project when editing (and share the XPR along with the other project resources) or you can ask them to use the Options menu-> Import Global Options and import the options from the XPR file that you provided.

Importing the .xpr file works! Very cool!
I’ve noticed now that I can’t assign profiling conditions to a topic as a set. How can I do this?

Is there a way to right click on a topic, Edit Properties, and select a Profiling Condition Set that I have created, which contains multiple values, instead of having to select each value individually?

Hi,
Thank you for your explanation. Unfortunately, there is no possibility for now to do that but it is an interesting idea.
I have added a feature request in our internal issue tracking. We will let you know when this will be implemented.
Best Regards,
Mihaela.
