oxygen for mac creates folder in windows programm files
I´am using Oxygen Author 17.1 for Mac.
I´am also using Paralells Desktop with Windows 8.1.
Every day, (it seems so) Oxygen creates a Folder called {0E..........} under c:\Program Files (x86).
Now the Problem is, the Trendmicro realtimescan running on Windows, detects this Files as a Virus.
Why does Oxygen create these Files, and how can i prevent this?
Thanks a lot!
Rainer

Re: oxygen for mac creates folder in windows programm files
Hi,
1. To clarify, your system is a Mac and you are using Parallels Desktop with Windows 8.1 on it. Is that correct?
2. Do you also have Oxygen for Windows installed in Parallels/Windows 8.1?
3. How did you determine that Oxygen creates that folder under "C:\Program Files (x86)"?
4. Note that Oxygen for OS X can't possibly have anything to do with "C:\Program Files (x86)" from your Parallels/Windows environment. Oxygen for OS X runs in the OS X environment, so it isn't even aware of your Parallels/Windows environment.
5. If you are referring to Oxygen for Windows, when Oxygen is run with normal privileges (by default), it can't actually create any files or folders in "C:\Program Files (x86)" or "C:\Program Files". No application can do this without being "Run as administrator". You may have misinterpreted the message.
6. We have received other reports of Trendmicro anti-virus software flagging Oxygen 17.1 as a virus in Windows. That is a false positive and depends on the Trendmicro software. Try to update their software and virus signatures and if the problem persists, contact Trendmicro for support.
Regards,
Adrian

Re: oxygen for mac creates folder in windows programm files
Dear Adrian,
no, it is only the Mac-Version installed.
Windows interprets the files probably wrongly as Oxygen files.
Then I have to look any further.
Thank you for your answer.
