Types of dictionaries for spell checking Russian language

Hello Support Team!

I carry out the research about types of dictionaries that my team may use for spell checking Russian language.
Could I ask you to explain what is the format of dictionary used for Java Spell check engine? Is it open source library every developer may work with?

Also I read instructions on your site that explains if I plan to use this checking type I have to use the dictionary in DAR format. However, that instruction includes the link to Dictionary Builder tool on XMLmind website but the link is not available. Do you still have user documentation that was available with tool? I will be thankful for any information regarding requirements for dictionary formats that you used in Oxygen Editor.

Hello,

Please note that the "Java spell checker" engine from Oxygen should be treated as obsolete/discontinued. It is no longer being maintained or updated, it is only offered as a fallback mechanism in case the Hunspell spell checker fails to load/work for whatever reason (e.g. unsupported platform). I would not recommend spending resources to build dictionaries for an obsolete system. If possible, please use Hunspell instead.

BTW, why do you want to use the "Java spell checker" engine instead of Hunspell?

I just would like to make sure that my idea was right. Like I said i did research about what kind of dictionary formats may we use for spell check. We will use the Hunspell checker in particularly because for this engine released a lot of Russian dictionaries.
