Attribute pane cannot be locked in required space
I have created a custom layout and want to lock the Attribute pane below the Elements pane (or above). It remains floating.
- How can I fix it in its right place?
- How can I force Oxygen to start up with the custom layout?
- How can I freeze the layout, so that it does not change, even if I double click on the edit space

Re: Attribute pane cannot be locked in required space
Hi,
Please see some answers below:
Or you can use the Window menu->Reset layout action to reset the entire layout back to the original state (either imposed via a fixed layout or the default layout).
You can use the Window menu->Export Layout action to export a custom layout.
If the question is about imposing a layout to multiple team members you can create an Oxygen plugin which can impose a layout when Oxygen starts and have all the members of the team install that plugin.

Radu
Please see some answers below:
A floating view has a Toggle Float button on the window title bar which can be pressed to dock it again. Or you can double click the title bar to dock it. Or you can drag it around in the part where you want to dock it and at some point you should have some indication that it can be docked.- How can I fix it in its right place?

In the Oxygen Preferences->Application Layout page you can specify a custom layout.- How can I force Oxygen to start up with the custom layout?

You cannot freeze the layout completely. Even if you impose a fixed layout, the layout will be imposed when Oxygen starts but users will still be able to drag views around during the editing session.- How can I freeze the layout, so that it does not change, even if I double click on the edit space

Re: Attribute pane cannot be locked in required space
Thanks for the answers......
The problem is that I cannot dock the attribute pane above or below the elements pane. Next to it is possible, but that eats from the workspace.
Any solution for that?

Hi,
If you first float the Attributes view, then drag it over the elements view to the north part of the Elements view you should have some visual indication at some point that it can be docked there like:
files/dockAttributesOnTopOfElements.png

Hi,
Glad this works for you now. We use a third party framework for the docking capabilities and it might have occasional glitches. Restarting Oxygen or using the Window menu->Reset layout action should get it back on track
