Section as a conkeyref?

Post by DonnaJ »

I've got an FAQ doc in which two Q/A sets only appear in one version of the software being referenced. (There are versions of the Q/A for Windows 8 and Windows 10.)

I've set up each Q and A as a section with the Q as the title.

Initially, I tried setting up two conkeyrefs - one for the question, another for the answer - and using them in the section. That, however, resulted in a gap in the doc version that doesn't need those two Q/A's.

So I've tried to set up the entire section as a conkeyref; which also works, but I have the same problem: empty lines being padded in the version that doesn't use those two questions.

Any ideas/advice on how to do this?

Thanks,
Donna

Hi Donna,

Have you tried setting the same profiling conditions on the actual <section> which has the @conkeyref attribute set on it?
In this way, when the content is filtered, the entire section should become filtered.
