Exclude elements from generated documentation

I'm using Tools > Generate Documentation > XML Schema Documentation to generate documentation for the XML schema that I'm working on.

Is there a method to exclude specific elements from the generated documentation (maybe using xsd:appInfo or a custom attribute)?

I have already replied to your email on our support email, but I am also copying my reply here:

It is currently not possible from the XML Schema Documentation generation tool in oXygen to exclude specific elements from the resulted output.
The only solution is to create a copy of your schema and manually remove all elements you don't need to be documented from it, then generate the documentation for the modified copy of the schema.
