Validation - file not found
Hi,
I use Oxygen XML 17.0 for its advanced capabilities, but I don't have a tight integration to our CCMS from it. So what I do is I use it to edit individual files which are not part of a project. Rather, I'll just check out a file from via the CCMS web GUI, edit it using Oxygen XML and then check it back in.
When I am done editing, I validate. Since I am editing a "standalone" file out of context as it were, I get "File not found" errors. If I am editing a big DITA MAP there can be hundreds of them. They are correct per se, of course, but they are telling me something I already know. Is there a way to suppress "File not found" messages? At my own risk, of course.
Thanks
Joakim

Hello Joakim,
You can disable the validation that report these messages. Here is what you must do:
- go to Option->Preferences... and select page Document Type Association
- identify your document type/framework. It can be either the default DITA framework or maybe your CCMS has given you a customized one
- edit the document type and inside the Document Type edit dialog select the Validation tab
- edit the scenario named DITA, which is the default validation scenario scenario.
- in the Edit scenario dialog identify the entry which uses as Validation engine an engine named DITA Validation. Remove it and confirm the changes all the way out.
Best regards,
Alex
