eclipse stalls whan configuring xml transformation

eclipse just stalls when configuring transformation. The Configurations screen displays but never realy finishes. It just hangs.

Hope someone can help

Please let us know more details. What eclipse version are you running and on what platform ? What oXygen plugin version are you running ?

I use the latest version of oxygen 2.0.3 beta and I use version 2.1.1 of eclipse and all this is running on Linux (Redhat 9.0). PS: I also can not start oxygen via Webstart.

Hi Oscar,

We tested it with Mandrake 9/Motif. Are you using GTK ? We got a lot of crashes of Eclipse with GTK. We had this problem with the transformation configuration dialog but that should be fixed in 2.0.3 beta.

The JWS deployment is a development snapshot, starting with the 2.0.3 release we will provide also a production/stable JWS deployment.

And yes I do use GTK. So this must be the issue then. Thanks a lot. In the meantime, can I download a JWS version that will work?

Hi Oscar,

What problem do you have with the current JWS deployment ?
Please configure the JavaWebStart to show the Java Console (File/Preferences Advanced/Show Java Console) and let us know if you get some exception there.
There is no other JWS deployment on the site right now.

The Log does not show anything. Anyhow here is the output

Yep. That's it.
When I start Oxygen with webstart it shows the splash screen for a short while and then closes down.

I know that Sun changed the security certificate for JWB in 1.4.2 so perhaps this has something to do with that.

I just downloaded to 2.0.3 GTK version, and wanted to confirm that this is still broken.

I've never had this work and I use Eclipse 2.12 with the current plug-in as of this writing.

Hi Tim,

Please try also Eclipse 3.0. According with http://www.oxygenxml.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=85 this was fixes sometime in the 3.0 development:

I just downloaded eclipse-SDK-I20030923-linux-gtk.zip and the latest eclipse 3 oxygen plugin, and the configuration problem does not occur. Hurray.
