Screen Reader support?

Hello,

I was typing up some tips on using the older version of oXygen we have a license for, and did a quick test for screen reader support with NVDA, because some people on my development team use screen readers.

The support is not great, for example, when I test the validity of a document, it is not announced to the screen reader. Has any testing been done with JAWS and other major screen readers for oXygen? Have any improvements been made in recent versions for screen reader support? It would be an incentive for us to upgrade.

Hi,

On what version of Oxygen did you test this (check in Help > About)?
Some significant improvements have been made for screen readers in v14.x of Oxygen.

The validity of a document is still not announced in the current (v17.0) version of Oxygen. The validity is reported in the application status bar and the reader seems unaware of that particular component. I've logged an issue for this particular problem.
