Adding a custom graphic to XSL-FO stylesheets

Post by pgrosso »

Apologies if I should have been able to find the answer, but I wasn't able to after some searching.

I am customizing the DITA-OT pdf generation process. I have found where one is supposed to be able to put custom graphics into cfg/common/artwork/ to modify the graphics used for the various note types. But try as I might, I cannot figure out how to add a new graphic such as the client's logo so that I can reference it from the XSL-FO stylesheets. Putting the graphic in the same directory as the custom fo (cfg/fo/xsl/) and referencing it with a path-less file name doesn't work (presumably because the FO stylesheet is not really in that location any more when the XSLT processor is running).

What's the trick to be able to reference a custom graphic from a custom xsl-fo file?

thanks.

Hi,

I think you can find one of the best explanations in this DITA PDF cutomization book. Failing that, I suppose the many DITA-OT experts that follow the dita-users mailing list can give you a detailed example.
