External tools in ecilpse plugin?

Post by queshaw » Tue Mar 17, 2015 2:01 pm

Is the oxygen external tools configuration available in the eclipse plugin (the oxygen configuration, not eclipse external tools)? I have an external tool configured in standalone oxygen that I would like to use.

After not finding a place to configure tools I tried exporting global options, editing the file and importing but, if that did anything, I don't see anywhere to launch the external tool from.

Hi,

The external tools feature from the standalone edition of Oxygen is not implemented in Eclipse. It was considered redundant since Eclipse has its own external tools. If you are migrating from the standalone edition to the Eclipse plugin of Oxygen, you'll have to manually reconfigure the external tools in the Eclipse configuration.

To use the same tool I've created an ant script to run as an external tool and it has essentially the same result. What I am missing is being able to pass oxygen variables to the command line.

Hi,

I believe Eclipse has equivalent or at least similar variables.
What are the Oxygen variables that you are using?
