Send the currently edited document to left or right panel of

Hello,

I want to ask to speed up and simplify opening documents, which are currently opened in oXygen Editor, in Diff Files.

Let imagine, that I have two edited documents in oXygen Editor. I want to compare them in Diff Files. Currently I save them, left mouse click on the first edited document and send the first document to Diff Files. But I do not know, how to sent to the right (or to the second) window of Diff Files the second edited document. Using "Compare..." always opens Diff Files with currently edited document in the left window.

I would like to enrich the option "Compare..." in oXygen Editor to "Compare... to the left window" and "Compare... to the right window", which:

1) In case of not opened Diff Files window, it opens Diff Files and opens actual document from oXygen Editor in the left or right window of Diff Files according to the selection.

2) In case of already opened Diff Files window, it tries to open actual document from oXygen Editor in the left or right window of Diff Files according to the selection. If in the targeted window of Diff Files is the not saved document, it prompts what to do.

Hi,

Currently (v16.0) the Compare... action from the contextual menu of the editor always opens the document in the left side of the Diff Files window. However, for the right side of the Diff Files, you can easily pick one of the documents already opened in the Oxygen editor from the right side combo box list (it lists 20 opened documents + 10 recently compared files).

Oxygen also offers the possibility of selecting and comparing two files from the Project view. Select both files in the Project view tree, right click on the selection and pick Compare... from the contextual menu.


I've submitted your feature request on our issue tracking tool. This will be analyzed and if found appropriate, it will be implemented in a future version of Oxygen. We will notify you when this is implemented.

...Well, I did not know about this - 20 opened documents. It is great and it fully meets my needs. There is no need of request for enhancement, please feel free to cancel it.
