Bug with Extension-B characters on track changes

When copy-pasting or typing Chinese Extension-B characters in author mode while track changes is on, Extension-B characters get transformed into an xml entity in Text Mode, i.e. &#x28959 instead of the character itself. It also happens when the character is pasted in Author mode first, and when the user switches to Text mode. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

Hi,

We reproduced the issue on our side. The issue is not related with enabling change tracking, the same behavior occurs when you have change tracking disabled in the document.
We will look into this problem and update the forum thread in a couple of days with more details.

We analyzed the problem and we'll fix it in the next version of Oxygen (version 16) which should be released in a couple of months.
How critical is this bug to you? The XML with escaped characters is still equivalent to the XML which would result if that particular character would not be escaped, the only problem I think would be usability when editing in the Text mode where you cannot directly see the character rendered.

Just to update this thread, this issue should be fixed both in the latest Oxygen 15.2 kits and in Oxygen 16.0 which was released a couple of days ago.
