Further problems with V6.0

Post by PeterRobertson »

Version 6.0 of Oxygen (build 2005051805) fails to transform
my document to PDF and goes into an infinite loop. I have left it
running for 20 minutes but it generates no output. The transformation
cannot be stopped; I have to kill Oxygen.

V5.1 completes the transformation successfully in under 3 minutes.

I have reverted back to V5.1 as this seems to be stable; V6.0 clearly
needs more work.

However, when using V5.1 I now get infuriating pop-ups inviting me to
upgrade. How can I stop them from appearing?

A reason for that may be that in v6 the DocBook was updated, both XSL stylesheets and the DTD. You may try replacing the frameworks/docbook from v6 with the one from v5.

To disable the version checking see Options->Preferences -- Global -- Automatic version checking option.

I'm having the same problem with Version 6.0, only in my case, V5.1 completes the transformation successfully in under 3 seconds.

Hi,

Again, the change wrt DocBook between v6 and v5.1 is the stylesheets update. You can put the frameworks/docbook from v5.1 replacing the ones from v6 and see if that solves the problem. You can also send us a sample to allow us to reproduce the problem at support at oxygenxml dot com.

Thanks,
George
