Text file import: spaces converted to underscores

Post by Frank Ralf »

I'm importing a text file with the field names in the first line. The field separator is the pipe but there are a lot of meaningless spaces around the header names for padding. These spaces are converted to underscores during import.

Is there a way to prevent these underscores?

TIA
Frank

Hi,

When importing structured text to XML, the header names are by default converted to element names and these cannot contain spaces, so the spaces are automatically converted to underscores.
If you want to alter the element names, press the Customize button from the Import dialog and edit (double click) the XML names directly in the table from the Presentation Names dialog.
