Add-ons URL Is Incorrect

Post by Jamil »

For as long as I had been using oxygen, I have never installed an add-on. I now know why I did not -- it is because the URL for it on the options screen is incorrect.

It is set to this on installation:
It should instead be this:
Once I added the URL above, I now am able to install add-ons.

Hi Jamil,

Actually this is intentional. Indeed the add-on site:

http://www.oxygenxml.com/InstData/Addon ... teSite.xml

offers some sample add-ons but they are not that valuable for every-day editing.
They are sample plugins showing how our API can be used for certain tasks.

We decided to publish official add-ons to the site:

http://www.oxygenxml.com/InstData/Addon ... teSite.xml

but for now there are no add-ons there. Usually when a feature is valuable we include it in Oxygen so there is no need for an add-on for it.

But the add-ons support in Oxygen works and can be used by web masters to deploy custom plugins and frameworks to Oxygen users inside a company for example.

Regards,
Radu
