Binding Ctrl+Up to "Select Parent" does not work

Post by taco.indenbosch »

Hi,

I tried to bind "Document|Select|Parent" to the key combination "Ctrl+Up". If I do so then the shortcut is shown in the menu, but it does not work. If I bind it, for example, to "Ctrl+Shift+Q" then it does work.

Since Ctrl+Up does not seem to be bound to another command (as I do not receive an error/warning when I bind it as happens when I pick other, used key combinations) I expected this to work.

Hi,

Actually the CTRL-UP and CTRL-DOWN are bound by the scroll pane in which the XML is edited. It scrolls up or down but without actually moving the caret.
We'll look into this, either prohibit this shortcut or to allow it and to give it a better priority in order to overwrite the scroll pane behavior.
Maybe in the meantime you can use Ctrl-Shift-UP/DOWN.

Radu
