Index and CSS not appearing in Output PDF
Post by pptavildar »
Hi,
I have created a XML files and created DITA Map and Bookmap as well.
I can see the stylesheet and Index is appearing in Oxygen Author; however, when I generate PDF output, both (Index and Stylesheet) not appearing.
Can anyone help me in this regards?

Re: Index and CSS not appearing in Output PDF
Hi,
Oxygen uses the open source DITA Open Toolkit processor to publish DITA content to various output sources like XHTML, PDF, etc.
I've already answered the index question on the other forum where you posted, you need a commercial PDF processor like RenderX XEP to produce an index page in the PDF output.
You can specify a custom CSS to be used when you publish to XHTML but the PDF output customization cannot be done by customizing CSS stylesheets, you need to get familiar with the XSLs used to generate the PDF output.
We have a topic about DITA PDF customizations in our user manual:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-oxygen/ ... ation.html
The DITA Users List is also a very good place where to register and ask PDF customization questions.
Regards,
Radu
