Updating epubcheck validator in Oxygen

At work I've run into a bit of a snag--the service that distributes our ebook files runs a newer version of epubcheck (3.0-RC-2) that what's in the Oxygen package (3.0b5). Which means they're finding errors that Oxygen misses. Just swapping the .jar files doesn't work, and I tried editing the scanner.xml file, but that didn't help. Can this be done, or am I just going to have to live with using the command line?

Hi,

Unfortunately it's a bit more complicated than just replacing the jars and referring them in the scanner.xml file. Oxygen also needs a Java connector that no longer works with the new version (due to API changes in epubcheck), so we have to recompile it for this version of epubcheck.

I've logged a request to update it in the next version of Oxygen. In addition, we should also be able to provide you with a connector for Oxygen v14.1 sometime next week.

Oxygen 14.2 was released and should contain the final version of the EPUB Check 3.0 validator.
