Getting 503 service unavailable for: error constantly

Post by Bharat »

Hi,

I am using Oxygen XML Developer IDE for my MarkLogic project. I have created a DataSource and have also used the same DataSource for creating a connection(say MLConn).

The connection(MLConn) is to a remote machine. I have also created the webDAV connection in the MarkLogic server of the remote machine. The thing is I have been using all these successfully for more than a month.

In the DataSource Explorer view, I usually see the connection(MLConn) name. Under the connection name(MLConn), I get
  • Groups and
  • webDAV
The Groups have further branches for App services and project modules present in the remote machine. The webDAV will have the code deployed in the remote machine i.e., my MarkLogic server.

Problem Statement
For the last 2 days, I am getting 503 service unavailable for: error on expanding the webDAV node. I checked all the connections and the server status, restarted the server, everything looks fine. But whenever I try to expand the webDAV, the dialog box appears with only the error code/message, without displaying the reason.
Possible Reason
The posible reason I can think of is, we had some network issue, with which no websites were opening. But it was corrected immendiately and all the sites open now. It has been restored to normal/earlier state.
No other change was made and all of a sudden got the error, without any explanation also.
Please help in identifying the place where I have gone wrong.

Hello,

Please check the WebDAV URL from your MarkLogic connection configuration. Test that URL in a web browser. If it doesn't work in the browser, it won't work in Oxygen either. If you also obtain 503 in the browser, contact the server administrator or check the server configuration yourself for the correct port of the MarkLogic WebDAV server.
