Topic referenced in other topics but not in DITA map

Hello

Does anyone know how to resolve the following ?

"W[REF]Topic referenced in other topics but not in DITA map"
when attempting to validate my data set.

Do I need to list all references to sub-topics within the top level map ?

Hi Andy,

That is just a warning, so it depends on whether you want to fix it or not.
When publishing to XHTML, you do not need to refer the topic from the DITA Map but if you publish to PDF for example you would end up with broken references (because the referenced topic would not actually be included in the PDF output as it is not referenced in the DITA Map).
