Re: form-based editing
Hello,
Please note that form-based editing is not just an out of the box option that can be activated with just a few clicks.
Starting with oXygen V14.1 a new oxy_editor() function with name-value pairs can be added to the content property of a CSS rule, allowing you to edit attributes or element values directly in the Author mode, without being need to switch to the Text mode, which, for not so technical users may seem a bit puzzling.
First, you should try watching our new video demonstration about Form Controls, available at:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/demo/Form_Controls.html
You could also find more detailed information about the form-control mechanism, in oXygen documentation, at the following link:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-editor/ ... ction.html
Besides, of course you could also try to "play" a bit with form-control editing, using our ready-made travel-guide sample from oXygen v14.1 sample project.
You can also find the sample files (travel-guide.xml and travel-guide.css) by going into your oXygen XML Editor v14.1 installation directory, to the \samples\travel-guide folder.
In order to edit the files and save the modifications, please first make sure to copy the files in a location on your local disk where you have write access.
Regards,
Costin
