How to see the "invisible" characters in the author view ?

Post by Vincent »

Hi,

I'm back on your board with new questions... !

In this topic, Costin says :

Oxygen XML allows you to see the "invisible" white-space characters. For that, as you already observed you should go in oXygen menu to Options > Preferences -> Editor > Edit modes > Text. There you should have both "Show TAB/NBSP/EOL/EOF marks" and "Show SPACE marks" options checked.

...

Costin
Is this functionnality exists in the author view ?

Thank you,
Vincent.

Hi Vincent,

Right now the Author view renders only TAB characters which appear in space-preserve elements like the DITA codeblock.
But we have plans to also show markers for other invisible characters like spaces EOLs and NBSP in the Author view, possibly in Oxygen 14.1 which will appear in 3-4 months.
We'll update this post when this happens.

Radu

Hi Radu,

Do you know if the feature is still scheduled ?
If not, what alternative solutions do we have to simulate this feature?

Thank you,
Vincent.

Hi Vincent,

Oxygen 14.1 will have this feature included. We are busy going through the release procedures, we should be able to release it in a week or two.

Radu
