Default Validation Scenarios in Framework issue
Hi,
We're running a shared framework amongst several users. Within the framework there is a document type with a single validation scenario defined. We configure this as the default scenario by the checking the box next to it under the 'validation' tab of the document type defined in the framework.
Since upgrading to Oxygen 14, we've frequently found that invalid XML will be reported as valid. On closer inspection, the validation scenario is no longer showing as the default under the document type validation type. Resetting it to default returns the expected behaviour.
Can anyone offer an explanation as to why the default setting would be removed? Is this a bug? We may consider returning to 13.2 as there is concern that large volumes of XML are incorrectly being reported as valid.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Default Validation Scenarios in Framework issue
Hi Daniel,
In Oxygen 14 (applet included) a document type can have more than one default validation scenarios which are applied for validation (you can tick multiple checkboxes).
This means that there was a slight change in the way in which the default scenario information is stored in the ".framework" file.
If a document type which was edited with 13.2 is used in Oxygen (or applet) version 14, the default scenario should be properly detected.
But if a document type which was edited with 14.0 is used in Oxygen (or applet) version 13.2, the default scenario is not detected because of this incompatibility of formats.
Could this be an explanation for the problem?
Maybe Oxygen 14 was used to edit the document type and then the users who had problems were Oxygen 13.2 users who use this framework created with Oxygen 14.0.
Regards,
Radu

Re: Default Validation Scenarios in Framework issue
Hi Daniel,
Could you send to our support email address (support@oxygenxml.com) the framework configuration file (with the ".framework" extension) which is part of the framework folder delivered to the end users?
Are the users using Oxygen standalone or web applet versions?
Regards,
Radu
