Turn off behaviour in project window?

One or two versions ago, oXygen introduced a new feature whereby the file which is open for editing is always selected in the project window. I thought this was a good idea when I first experienced it, but I'm finding it quite annoying now; most problematic is what happens when I close a file, because the project window jumps to a selection of another file that may be miles away from where I'm focused and working.

So I'd like to turn this behaviour off, but I can't find a setting for it in the Preferences. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Hello,

The setting you are looking for is located in the Project view toolbar. Click on the Link with editor toolbar button(icon with two arrows pointing left, one gray and one red) and the feature will toggle on or off.
