Large PDF failed to render

My pdf renders have grown to over 600 pages with all topics enabled. Above 600 pages the pdf won't render, 599 works ok. When I adjust the ditaval filters to stay below 600 pages the render transforms are Ok. Different ditavals work ok and all topics work under some ditavals as long as the total page count is below 600. I'm using the standard DITA-OT transformation. Is there any way to configure the transformation so that I can render over 600 pages? Thanks.

Hi Bob,

Usually when the PDF output grows large you need to set additional memory to the ANT DITA OT transformation.

If you edit a DITA transformation scenario, there is an Advanced tab:

The tab contains a field called JVM Arguments which you can set to a higher megabyte value like: -Xmx512m

If this does not fix your problem maybe you can contact us using our support email address (support@oxygenxml.com) and send us the entire output which you received in the Oxygen console view.
